POLICY OF HEALTH AND SAFETY AT WORK
ELECTROPERU S.A. state power generating company, has set objectives of provide services with high standards of performance in Health and Safety at Work, in order to create and maintain a safe and healthy workplace, keeping staff motivated and committed to prevent the risks from work, to this purpose in consensus with workers and their representatives pursuant to Article 22 of Law No. 29783 -Law Safety and Health at Work, has established the following policy:
1. Provide full support for the fulfillment of the Regulations and National Policy on Safety and Health at Work. Ensuring compliance of relevant legal requirements for safety and health at work, voluntary programs, collective agreements in force in safety and health at work, and other requirements that the company subscribes.
2. Protect the health and safety of workers, visitors and contractors, by preventing injuries, ill health, diseases and work-related incidents; for this purpose implement health and risk prevention programs.
3. Ensure and promote workers and their representatives are consulted and informed in a timely, continuous and permanent way, also that all members of the organization should be trained to be responsible to actively participate in all elements of the Management System for Safety and Health at Work, including risk situations, urgencies or emergencies.
4. Develop continuous improvement of our performance in risk prevention, implementing a Management System Health and Safety at Work compatible with other management systems of the company, through which all workers are involved on the continuous hazard identification and evaluation of their risks in order to take timely and effective measures to control them.
5. Encourage and guarantee the security, health and physical, mental and social integrity of workers during the course of their work in the workplace and in all of those places where they could be commissioned for service need, being one of its main objectives to avoid risks and accidents, as well as occupational diseases.
